Protect Mobile Iris Database Groundtruth (PROTMI-GT) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is "The Multimedia Signal Processing and Security Lab", short WaveLab, website. We are a research group at the Artificial Intelligence and Human Interfaces (AIHI)
Department of the University of Salzburg led by Andreas Uhl.
Our research is focused on Visual Data Processing and associated security questions. Most of our work is currently concentrated on Biometrics, Media Forensics and
Media Security, Medical Image and Video Analysis, and application oriented fundamental research in digital humanities, individualised aquaculture and sustainable wood
industry.

PapersSoftwareThis package only provides the ground truth (and mask files) for the PROTECT Multimodal Iris DB version 1, the actual database containing the iris images can be requested at: http://projectprotect.eu/dataset. The software to use this parameter files is the USIT (`manuseg`), the USIT is available at http://www.wavelab.at/sources/USIT. READMEThe groundtruth is available only for non-rotated items. The rotated items would have to be preprocessed prior to putting them in the biometric pipeline.
If you use this data cite the following paper: Heinz Hofbauer, Ehsaneddin Jalilian, Ana F. Sequeira, James Ferryman and Andreas Uhl : "Mobile NIR Iris Recognition: Identifying Problems and Solutions", in Proceedings of the IEEE 9th International Conference on Biometrics: Theory, Applications, and Systems (BTAS2018), 2018. Bibtex entry for the paper: @inproceedings{Hofbauer18b, author = {Heinz Hofbauer and Ehsaneddin Jalilian and Ana F.
